Socks. What will ever be so interesting? Yet it is one of the elements that can ruin an outfit. Do you feel confused?

Don’t worry, we will explain everything in order.

Ankle Socks

We just talk about it to tell you that are BANNED in ANY KIND OF OUTFIT.

We know these are probably the most popular types of socks ever, but they should only be worn to go to the gym or for a run on the bike path.

They are comfortable and practical (they prevent the shoe from rubbing against the foot), but they are two terms that certainly do not belong to fashion.

No-Show Socks

There are different currents of thought, but one is the only one thing that matters: fashion.

Obviously, they are a must with loafers (no barefoot, please). With sneakers, no-show socks and jeans, then, you can’t go wrong.

With elegant shoes and a suit instead? No no and no. Repeat with us: no.

Do not be persuaded by your friends, it is not elegant and would make your beautiful outfit sloppy.

Over the Calf (OTC) Socks

What to put, then? But OTC, of course!

It’s true, they’re a little old school, but who said it’s bad? To make them less obvious, you could opt for different textures (the ribbed ones are classics).

Don’t forget to match them with the colour of the shoes and the suit! With dark colours, you play it safe.

The point in favour? If you are a bit cold you can choose them in wool or cashmere.

Mid-Calf Socks

Last but not least, the mid-calf-socks.

If you like to add a touch of eccentricity to your looks, here’s something right up your alley.

With this type of socks, you can indulge yourself (with style, of course). Polka dots, stripes, checks, Scottish patterns and why not? Avocados, puppies and much more.

You can wear them with your sneakers, with boots, some also wear them with suits. The important thing is not to take yourself too seriously (and match the colours!).

Pocket Squares

No, we’re not talking about handkerchiefs. Handkerchiefs are basically tissues, the pocket squares are accessories.

Again, you can play with patterns and materials, you can also indulge yourself in folding it in different ways.

You can find a useful Tie-A-Tie tutorial for folding your pocket square in different ways.

Two tips: once positioned, better not touch it anymore (unless it is needed by a lady in difficulty) and remember to iron it!

Here we are simply talking about taste. You could choose a model with a metal frame, a vintage model, with green or blue lenses.

The important thing is their quality!

If you go to a specialized store, they will certainly be able to advise you on the model that best suits your face shape.

What is certain is that by wearing them you will immediately have a mysterious and stylish look. And who wouldn’t want it?

This was the second part of our article. Not enough for you?

Then don’t miss the third part, soon in our blog! And if you didn’t read the first part, you can catch up it here.
